The cozy detached house in a quiet area provided us with the perfect retreat during our time in York. We were thrilled to have a parking space and a lovely garden for our furry friend to enjoy. The house itself was impeccably clean and thoughtfully equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. From the dishwasher to the coffee machine, we had everything we needed. The decor was tasteful and the overall atmosphere was inviting.

This place was absolutely mind-blowing! The location was super, with shops and cafes just a short walk away. The property itself was jaw-droppingly spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the facilities we needed. The hosts were lovely, constantly checking in on us. And the value for money was unbelievable! We would definitely come back again.

The property was lovely and clean, with spacious rooms and everything we needed for our stay. the big flat screen TV with Netflix and prime was fantastic, and the fact that they provided extras like toilet paper and shampoo was a pleasant surprise. the location was also great, with two large parks nearby and only a 20-minute walk to the city center. the owners were very attentive and kept in touch throughout our stay.

There were a few minor issues that we encountered. the decor in some of the rooms didn't quite match the rest of the house, and the bed was a bit soft.

The Old Forge was a cosy, comfortable home from home in a very quiet location a short drive from the park and ride and attractions. It had everything we needed, including our own parking space, a fenced garden, and all the amenities for a relaxing stay. The owners were helpful and responsive to our questions. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice city break.

The house was perfect for our family with a toddler. The lower bunk bed and selection of toddler toys/books were a great bonus. Parking was a bit difficult but manageable for a VW Passat. The garden space was lovely and the house was neat and tidy as described. Great location for exploring the city.

The location was perfect, with a short 15/20 minute walk to the town center and train station, as well as being just 5 minutes away from the river and Rountree Park. The house itself had all the modern amenities you could ask for, including a small dishwasher and a lovely shower with good water pressure. Additionally, the nights were incredibly quiet, ensuring a peaceful sleep.
